When I landed in El Salvador, I did it with a program of English classes under my arm and little idea about the country. Thanks to CINDE, I met a reality very different to my own. A reality which even though I knew existed, I had always ignored. Since then I have collaborated with CINDE from Madrid and I am looking forward to going back to El Salvador.

Thanks to the work of the CINDE team, I was able to blend into lives very different from mine, absorbing all that the boys and girls, mothers and teachers shared with me. I will always be grateful for what this experience has given me as a person, and I hope that I will be able to give back, even if just partly, all that the people of El Salvador have given me.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with CINDE, working in the different centers that it has in different marginalized neighborhoods of San Salvador. When I decided to go, I had hardly imagined the reality that I would find, which was much harder than I thought. This experience taught me to see the world with different eyes. I have been an associate and active collaborator since then.

I started to work and collaborate with CINDE a little more than 8 years ago, and the experience has been more than gratifying throughout this whole time. Thanks to the Association, I have been able to really get to know and get more closely involved in the needs and problem areas of their projects, contributing my experience in the area of communications and visibility as a part of the staff as of this year.
